The Department of Educational Technology employ students as graduate assistants to perform such varied duties as assisting in the Instructional Media Lab, troubleshooting computer problems for College of Education faculty, assisting faculty with online classes, and supporting the research activities of the faculty. Students carrying 9 units of course work may only work 15 hours per week while students carrying 6 units may work 20 hours per week. Appointment to a graduate assistantship is for a period of either one semester or the academic year. Reappointment or continuation of an appointment is dependent upon satisfactory performance in graduate studies, as prescribed by the Graduate Division, satisfactory completion of assigned duties, and upon departmental need for continued service in the department.
